This work without title by Samsul Arifin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. It achieved a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,585.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samsul Arifin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Terapung di Laut Asia (Floating in the Asian Ocean), which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 920,000.00 (€ 82,298.27).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Samsul Arifin kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.585,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Samsul Arifin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Terapung di Laut Asia (Floating in the Asian Ocean) beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 920.000,00 (€ 82.298,27) versteigert wurde.
