Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work American untitled by Samia Halaby for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,820.35). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art/ Middle East at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samia Halaby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mediterranean #279 in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 446,534.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit American untitled von Samia Halaby für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.820,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samia Halaby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mediterranean #279 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 446.534,98).
