Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art/ Middle East, which included the work American billboard Collage by Samia Halaby. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,453.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samia Halaby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mediterranean #279 in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 446,534.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit American billboard Collage von Samia Halaby zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.453,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samia Halaby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mediterranean #279 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 446.534,98).
