Despite a disappointment, a good price for Sam Lewitt
This work of art by Sam Lewitt could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Template - wall work changed hands for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,304.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Template - wall work is the most expensive artwork by Sam Lewitt that we have observed at auction so far.
