Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Wallendas by Salvatore Scarpitta was sold in the 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale auction at Christies in Milan in November 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 237,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvatore Scarpitta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Housing Developed in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,535,000.00 (€ 2,940,418.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wallendas von Salvatore Scarpitta wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 237.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvatore Scarpitta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Housing Developed im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.535.000,00 (€ 2.940.418,20).
