Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hammered X by Salvatore Scarpitta was sold in the Contemporary Art | Milan auction at Sothebys in Milan in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 81,900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvatore Scarpitta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Housing Developed in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,535,000.00 (€ 2,940,418.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hammered X von Salvatore Scarpitta wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 81.900,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvatore Scarpitta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Housing Developed im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.535.000,00 (€ 2.940.418,20).
