Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A woman looking at an infant held by a man by Salvator Rosa was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,863.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvator Rosa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the artist, half-length, in a brown doublet in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 769,250.00 (€ 924,936.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A woman looking at an infant held by a man von Salvator Rosa kam im Januar 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.863,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvator Rosa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of the artist, half-length, in a brown doublet im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 769.250,00 (€ 924.936,45).
