Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A still life with chinese dolls, a fan, and flowers on a table by Salomon Garf was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. The price achieved of NLG 936.16 (€ 411.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon Garf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Strandszene in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 6,450.00.

Die Arbeit A still life with chinese dolls, a fan, and flowers on a table von Salomon Garf wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 936,16 (€ 411,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salomon Garf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Strandszene im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.450,00.
