In September 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS, which included the work Stilleven met kruik: A still life with a necklace, a laquer ceal, books and an earthenware jar by Salomon Garf. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 2,340.40 (€ 1,078.70), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Salomon Garf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Strandszene in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 6,450.00.

Im September 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stilleven met kruik: A still life with a necklace, a laquer ceal, books and an earthenware jar von Salomon Garf zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 2.340,40 (€ 1.078,70) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salomon Garf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Strandszene im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.450,00.
