Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Young man with a flute by Salomon de Bray was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,920.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon de Bray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study Of A Young Woman In Profile in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 936,411.38).

Die Arbeit Young man with a flute von Salomon de Bray wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.920,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salomon de Bray erzielen.
