Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work Pentecost by Salomon de Bray. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,785.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon de Bray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study Of A Young Woman In Profile in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 936,411.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pentecost von Salomon de Bray zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.785,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salomon de Bray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study Of A Young Woman In Profile im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 936.411,38).
