In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work The Queen Of Sheba Before The Temple Of Solomon In Jerusalem by Salomon de Bray. The »bidding war« ended at USD 194,500.00 (€ 141,815.53), 62% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Salomon de Bray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study Of A Young Woman In Profile in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 936,411.38).

Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Queen Of Sheba Before The Temple Of Solomon In Jerusalem von Salomon de Bray zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 141.815,53) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salomon de Bray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study Of A Young Woman In Profile im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 936.411,38).
