Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters: Property from a Private Collection, which included the work A shepherd by Salomon de Bray. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 47,064.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon de Bray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study Of A Young Woman In Profile in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 936,411.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters: Property from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A shepherd von Salomon de Bray zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.500,00 (€ 47.064,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salomon de Bray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study Of A Young Woman In Profile im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 936.411,38).
