Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work White Amaryllis by Sally Michel Avery. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,575.00 (€ 6,433.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Michel Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Mug in May last year with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Amaryllis von Sally Michel Avery zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.575,00 (€ 6.433,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sally Michel Avery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Mug im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 82.191,78).
