This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Bonhams in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sally Michel Avery - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Mug, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).
