Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art, which included the work Jidar Sakhr (Wall of Rocks) by Salim al-Dabbagh. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,964.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Salim al-Dabbagh have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2014 the work Shakil Athari (Archaeological Form) was auctioned for USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,146.19).

Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jidar Sakhr (Wall of Rocks) von Salim al-Dabbagh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.964,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Salim al-Dabbagh konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2014 die Arbeit Shakil Athari (Archaeological Form) für USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.146,19) versteigert.
