Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Salim al-Dabbagh could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Abstract Composition changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,228.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salim al-Dabbagh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shakil Athari (Archaeological Form) in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,146.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Salim al-Dabbagh konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Abstract Composition für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.228,84) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salim al-Dabbagh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shakil Athari (Archaeological Form) im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.146,19).
