Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Figures by Salim al-Dabbagh was sold in the Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art auction at Christies in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,604.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salim al-Dabbagh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shakil Athari (Archaeological Form), which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,146.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Figures von Salim al-Dabbagh wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art bei Christies versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.604,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Salim al-Dabbagh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shakil Athari (Archaeological Form) beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.146,19) versteigert wurde.
