Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work The Artichoke Holders by Salah El Mur. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,298.74), 17% above the upper estimate. Other works by Salah El Mur have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,174.00) in April 2019 for the work Sudanese The Family Portrait.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Artichoke Holders von Salah El Mur zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.298,74) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Salah El Mur haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.174,00) im April 2019 für die Arbeit Sudanese The Family Portrait beobachtet.
