Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Bint El-Sudan by Salah El Mur for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,949.01). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Salah El Mur have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2019 by the work Sudanese The Family Portrait at GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,174.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bint El-Sudan von Salah El Mur für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.949,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 14.000,00 – 18.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Salah El Mur wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2019 die Arbeit Sudanese The Family Portrait mit GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.174,00).
