Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work The White Shoes by Salah El Mur. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,281.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Salah El Mur have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2019 the work Sudanese The Family Portrait was auctioned for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,174.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The White Shoes von Salah El Mur zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.281,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Salah El Mur konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2019 die Arbeit Sudanese The Family Portrait für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.174,00) versteigert.
