Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,359.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salah El Mur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sudanese The Family Portrait, which sold at auction in April 2019 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,174.00).
