Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2014 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Sakti Burman for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,234.50). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sakti Burman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rêve de Maya (Maya's Dream) in September this year with an auction result of USD 170,100.00 (€ 160,714.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2014 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sakti Burman für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.234,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sakti Burman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rêve de Maya (Maya's Dream) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.100,00 (€ 160.714,29).
