Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Sakti Burman was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 22,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 26,397.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sakti Burman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rêve de Maya (Maya's Dream) in September this year with an auction result of USD 170,100.00 (€ 160,714.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sakti Burman wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 22.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 26.397,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sakti Burman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rêve de Maya (Maya's Dream) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.100,00 (€ 160.714,29).
