The »bidding war« ended at HKD 72,000.00 (€ 8,009.00), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sadamasa Motonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 10,300,000.00 (€ 1,215,768.70).

Die Arbeit From Square Of White Lines (Painted In 1982) von Sadamasa Motonaga wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 72.000,00 (€ 8.009,00) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sadamasa Motonaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.300.000,00 (€ 1.215.768,70).
