This artwork by Ryuryukyo Shinsai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Edo period (1615-1868), late 18th/early 19th century sold for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,045.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryuryukyo Shinsai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,812.50 (€ 32,661.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryuryukyo Shinsai erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art wurde die Arbeit Edo period (1615-1868), late 18th/early 19th century für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.045,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryuryukyo Shinsai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.812,50 (€ 32.661,74).
