Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono, which included the work Edo Period (1615-1868), 1821 by Ryuryukyo Shinsai. The price achieved of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,185.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryuryukyo Shinsai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,812.50 (€ 32,661.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono durch, in der auch die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), 1821 von Ryuryukyo Shinsai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.185,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryuryukyo Shinsai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.812,50 (€ 32.661,74).
