The work Edo Period (1615-1868), Early 19Th Century by Ryuryukyo Shinsai was sold in the Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono auction at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,112.50 (€ 10,462.56), 73% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryuryukyo Shinsai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820, which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 37,812.50 (€ 32,661.74).

Die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), Early 19Th Century von Ryuryukyo Shinsai wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 10.462,56) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryuryukyo Shinsai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820 beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 37.812,50 (€ 32.661,74) versteigert wurde.
