It achieved a price of USD 4,462.50 (€ 3,854.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Admittedly, works by Ryuryukyo Shinsai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,812.50 (€ 32,661.74).

Die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), 1809 von Ryuryukyo Shinsai kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 3.854,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryuryukyo Shinsai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1820 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.812,50 (€ 32.661,74).
