Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stomach Clouds-Remix by Ryoko Kato was sold in the Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,213.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryoko Kato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work K.A.M.I.S.A.M.A & Utopia 0 Chome, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 223,500.00 (€ 18,399.97).

Die Arbeit Stomach Clouds-Remix von Ryoko Kato wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.213,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryoko Kato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit K.A.M.I.S.A.M.A & Utopia 0 Chome beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 223.500,00 (€ 18.399,97) versteigert wurde.
