This artwork by Ryoko Kato achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART auction, the work Ice Lolly and Stripes, The Nuke Sun-nuclear spring sold for HKD 72,000.00 (€ 7,877.86) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryoko Kato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work K.A.M.I.S.A.M.A & Utopia 0 Chome, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 223,500.00 (€ 18,399.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryoko Kato erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART wurde die Arbeit Ice Lolly and Stripes, The Nuke Sun-nuclear spring für HKD 72.000,00 (€ 7.877,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryoko Kato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit K.A.M.I.S.A.M.A & Utopia 0 Chome beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 223.500,00 (€ 18.399,97) versteigert wurde.
