This artwork by Ryoko Kato achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Flooded small room, Room with cloud sold for HKD 90,000.00 (€ 9,039.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryoko Kato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work K.A.M.I.S.A.M.A & Utopia 0 Chome, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 223,500.00 (€ 18,399.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryoko Kato erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Flooded small room, Room with cloud für HKD 90.000,00 (€ 9.039,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryoko Kato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit K.A.M.I.S.A.M.A & Utopia 0 Chome beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 223.500,00 (€ 18.399,97) versteigert wurde.
