This artwork by Ruth Francken achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2011. In the The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two auction, the work Pallanquin sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ruth Francken - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Siège / Sculpture modèle "homme", which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 35,840.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ruth Francken erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two wurde die Arbeit Pallanquin für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ruth Francken mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Siège / Sculpture modèle "homme" beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 35.840,00 versteigert wurde.
