Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian three Figure Sketches by Russell Drysdale was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. It changed hands for a price of AUD 5,760.00 (€ 3,362.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 5,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Russell Drysdale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian rocky Mccormack in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,890,000.00 (€ 1,103,283.80).

Die Arbeit Australian three Figure Sketches von Russell Drysdale kam im August 2008 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 5.760,00 (€ 3.362,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 5.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Russell Drysdale erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian rocky Mccormack im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.890.000,00 (€ 1.103.283,80).
