Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian The Aeroplane by Russell Drysdale was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in November 2009. The price achieved of AUD 300,000.00 (€ 182,933.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Russell Drysdale have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian rocky Mccormack in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,890,000.00 (€ 1,103,283.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian The Aeroplane von Russell Drysdale wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 300.000,00 (€ 182.933,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Russell Drysdale auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian rocky Mccormack im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.890.000,00 (€ 1.103.283,80).
