Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Homage to Andy Warhol, Galerie Sho, Tokyo, Japan, 1989 by Rupert Jasen Smith. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,500.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rupert Jasen Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greta Garbo in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,013.23).
