Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Artcurial held the auction More, which included the work Torta - 1984 by Rupert Jasen Smith. The price achieved of EUR 1,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rupert Jasen Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greta Garbo in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,013.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion More durch, in der auch die Arbeit Torta - 1984 von Rupert Jasen Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rupert Jasen Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greta Garbo im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.013,23).
