Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Head of man in armor, c. 1925 by Rudolf Koppitz was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,688.03), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Koppitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study) in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 399,000.00 (€ 330,462.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Head of man in armor, c. 1925 von Rudolf Koppitz wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.688,03) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Koppitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study) im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 399.000,00 (€ 330.462,15).
