Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Andacht. by Rudolf Koppitz was auctioned at Grisebach in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,125.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Koppitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study) in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 399,000.00 (€ 330,462.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Andacht. von Rudolf Koppitz im November 2019 bei Grisebach versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.125,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Koppitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study) im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 399.000,00 (€ 330.462,15).
