Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kubistisches Paar (Cubist Couple) by Rudolf Bauer was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,761.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Bauer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Squares in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 850,000.00 (€ 773,148.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kubistisches Paar (Cubist Couple) von Rudolf Bauer wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.761,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Bauer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Squares im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 850.000,00 (€ 773.148,99).
