This artwork by Rudi Mantofani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Langit Yang Hilang (The Sky That Disappeared) sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 32,552.27) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudi Mantofani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 345,417.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rudi Mantofani erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Langit Yang Hilang (The Sky That Disappeared) für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 32.552,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudi Mantofani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 345.417,10).
