Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Diatas Pulau Batu (On the Island of Stone) by Rudi Mantofani was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,766.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudi Mantofani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 345,417.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Diatas Pulau Batu (On the Island of Stone) von Rudi Mantofani wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.766,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudi Mantofani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 345.417,10).
