Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Menjelang Pagi (Waiting For The Dawn) by Rudi Mantofani was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,412.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudi Mantofani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 345,417.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Menjelang Pagi (Waiting For The Dawn) von Rudi Mantofani kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.412,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudi Mantofani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 345.417,10).
