Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the Grand Canal, Venice by Rubens Santoro was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 4,480.00 (€ 4,480.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rubens Santoro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venezia, Il Canal Grande Alla Salute in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 156,800.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.480,00 (€ 4.480,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rubens Santoro erzielen.
