In June 2001 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Venezia, Il Canal Grande Alla Salute by Rubens Santoro. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 156,800.00 31% above the upper estimate. With this result, Venezia, Il Canal Grande Alla Salute is even the most expensive work of art by Rubens Santoro that we have observed at auctions so far.
