This artwork by Ruben Pang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Convergences: A Special Sale of Singapore Art auction, the work Light The Caretaker sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 22,900.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ruben Pang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Shredding Series sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 24,651.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ruben Pang erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Convergences: A Special Sale of Singapore Art wurde die Arbeit Light The Caretaker für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 22.900,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ruben Pang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Shredding Series im Juli 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 24.651,78).
