Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Insurmountable Defences by Ruben Pang. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,406.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ruben Pang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Shredding Series in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 24,651.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Insurmountable Defences von Ruben Pang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.406,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruben Pang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Shredding Series im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 24.651,78).
