Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Untitled (Head) by Roy Turner Durrant. It changed hands for a price of GBP 576.00 (€ 847.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Roy Turner Durrant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figure in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,273.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Head) von Roy Turner Durrant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 847,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roy Turner Durrant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figure im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.273,78).
