The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,773.92), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy Turner Durrant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,273.78).

Die Arbeit Blue Headpiece I; and Blue Headpiece II von Roy Turner Durrant wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.773,92) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy Turner Durrant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.273,78) versteigert wurde.
