Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Wallpaper With Blue Floor Interior by Roy Lichtenstein. The price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 44,392.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wallpaper With Blue Floor Interior von Roy Lichtenstein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 44.392,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
